Aaron’s roots run deep in middle Tennessee as he is a seventh-generation Rutherford County resident. His great grandfather came to Rutherford County in the early 1800’s and his family has lived in the area ever since. After Without funds to attend college, Aaron proudly enlisted in the Army after high school and deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Upon completion of his military service, he used his GI Bill to attend Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) where he graduated with honors. After college, he kept expanding on his experiences while he worked as a bartender in Murfreesboro and Tokyo; as a carpenter framing houses in Tennessee; as a deckhand on a fishing boat in Alaska; and as an English teacher in Korea, Japan, and China.

After studying Mandarin for a year in China, he joined the U.S. Foreign Service to work as a U.S. diplomat and represent American interests abroad. He worked at U.S. embassies in Uganda, Venezuela, Pakistan, and at the United Nations in New York City. After more than a decade of traveling and working abroad, he decided it was time to finally “come home” and continue expanding his roots in Tennessee.

Roofing Right

Aaron knew that he enjoyed the construction industry as he had worked in various aspects of it while growing up. His grandfather built and planted churches across the South, his uncles developed mutli-million-dollar residential projects across Tennessee, and his dad ran a remodeling business that eventually turned into a roofing business. He knew that he enjoyed the roofing industry, saw an opportunity, and installed his first roof as Roofing Right in 2017.

Tusker Roofing

Every year we have completed more projects than the last and have grown slowly and steadily over the years. In 2024 we renamed/rebranded Roofing Right to Tusker Roofing with the goal of becoming more memorable and marketable. We plan to continue to grow responsibly while maintaining incredible customer service, fair pricing, and lasting quality.

Aaron married the love of his life, Sarah, in July 2023. They have four dogs and a baby girl due in August 2024. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, taking his wife to see musicals, going to the river with his dogs, hunting, fishing, and watching sports.
